They don't like walking around on bare foundations so make sure you've got flooring down in your rooms to make them feel comfortable. You need to cover the entire room in flooring, if even one tile is missing it still counts as cave dwelling.

A small bedroom (e.g. 2×2 or 2×3) will give +3 happiness when sleeping but a large private bedroom (3×4) will give +9 happiness. It is important to keep your survivors happy so I recommend you make your building large enough for four 3×4 private bedrooms.

"Rescue Pod" - Chance to get a new recruit / find a dead body / find a dead body surrounded by critters. "Signal rocket" - Slim chance to get a new recruit, or to find a survivor under attack or to find a dead body. "Smoke signals" - Good chance to get a new recruit. Possible to find the remains of a campfire.

While being chased, the cave dweller will have crazy speed and powerful attacks. You'll take one heart of damage even in full netherite armor, making this a battle most will run away from in-game.

Every seed (crash landing) has a set maximum people you can have between 4 and usually 8 (very rarely can go more than 8) and if you don't currently have that many you'll occasionally get an event that can give a survivor. Even when you get an event you won't always get someone though, it's RNG.

When you go to a character panel, go to the option on the right "restrictions". Then go to Cooked meals and in there uncheck Other ( it contains emergency rations ). You can then copy/paste that setting to the other members.

I would like to know this as well, do your survivors get together and make kids? No. All the characters you started with are predefined with names, looks and personalities etc.

I always get the "Uneven terrain" warning. The landing spot needs to be built on metal or higher type flooring and is 7x7.

So, how do moons work in Stranded: Alien Dawn? You won't see drastic changes in tides or sudden eclipses. However, each moon will change how the ecosystem around you operates, whether it's wildlife behavior, availability of local flora, or even more random occurrences.

Caves are not ravines but will often lead into them. Because they mostly lack illumination, they will often have groups of hostile mobs like skeletons, zombies, spiders and etc. One should never go into a cavern without a good supply of any lighting and weapons. Leave all valuables back in a safe place on the surface.

Placing torches around designated mining spots can do wonders to keep players safe. Mobs spawn in the dark, so when the player is in a cave, they spawn quite often — use light to keep them away.
