Window Cleaning all year round.
Although it may be hard to believe, window cleaning can be carried out throughout all seasons when using the correct equipment, water and health and safety precautions. It's important that we prepare for the British weather beforehand which then makes it easier to ensure your windows are cleaned every month.
The most common asked question is "how can you clean windows in the rain?"
The simple answer is, rain water does not contain the same amount of calcium and dissolved minerals that tap water contains, so there should be little to no water marks left on your windows once they have been cleaned and it has rained. This allows us to still be able to clean your windows and keep up the great standard of clean we pride ourselves on.
2019, one of the wettest years in 100 years!
This year has been without a doubt one of the wettest years we have faced as window cleaners. Although the normal rain fall has not stopped us from carrying out our window cleaning services, there has been times when it has just been too wet to allow our staff to be out in the rain for 10 hours a day cleaning windows. On these occasions we have had to move the days around and even work weekends to ensure our customers still receive a regular, reliable window cleaning service.
Freezing temperatures are stopping us in our tracks
The only other time that we cannot safely clean your windows is when the temperature drops below zero or is due to drop below zero. The reason we take the decision not to clean windows in this type of weather is because water and freezing temperatures do not mix! We know that some other companies will use hot water to prevent water from freezing to your windows, but this can cause windows to crack and therefore not safe practice.
The other reason we will not clean windows in freezing conditions is because once the water has dripped down your windows and onto the floor, the probability is that the water is going to freeze, causing a slip hazard all around your home! This is not safe and so again we will not clean windows in these conditions.
